Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

To keep in the spirit of Wimbledon, we’ve created some fruity lollipops for you and the kids to make. We’ve taken the classic combination of strawberries and chocolate and added a little bit of fun. This is a simple but effective recipe with some lovely treats created at the end. If you want to change this up you can use bananas instead. Simply push in the lollipop stick, freeze and then dip in chocolate. Another great idea for summer is to dip the top of your ice cream cones into melted chocolate then into sprinkles. Leave them to set before scooping in your favourite ice cream. IMG_4117-1 IMG_4119 Ingredients X1 punnet strawberries 60g white chocolate 60g dark chocolate 20g sprinkles Lollipop sticks   Method Melt the chocolates in glass bowls over pans of just simmering water, being careful not to let the water touch the bottom of the bowls. Meanwhile, push the lollipop sticks into the top of the strawberries. Once melted, dip the strawberries into the chocolate and let the excess drip back into the bowl whist you twist the stick (you can tap the stick on the side of the bowl).  Cover with your favourite sprinkles. Leave to set on a sheet of greaseproof before enjoying, or speed this up by placing them in the fridge. IMG_4120 IMG_4118 These take about 10 minutes to make so why not have a go?!
